Ebooks, audiobooks, comics, movies, TV shows and music on computers (streaming only,) tablets and smart phones for all ages.
WHO CAN USE: All SCPL cardholders in good standing. You will not be able to use the app if you have an expired card, fines/fee $5 or more, have more than 5 items overdue. If your child has a “juvenile with restrictions” library card they may not borrow R rated movies, TV shows rated 14+, comics labeled for mature audiences, or music labeled Parental Advisory. Parents whose child has a “juvenile” card can also choose to limit access to adult materials within the Hoopla App themselves.
APPS: Download the Hoopla App in Google Play, iTunes, Amazon, Apple TV or Chromecast.
CHECK-OUT LIMIT: 4 items per month per person. Items will be automatically returned on your due date or can be returned early.
HOLDS: All items are always available so there is no need for holds.
RENEWALS: There is no option to renew but you can just borrow and item again once its loan period ends.
LOAN PERIOD: Videos-3days, Music-7 days, eBooks/audiobooks/comics-21 days.
HELP: Use the Hoopla HELP menu.

APPS: Download the Overdrive App or the Libby App wherever you download apps for your device. Libby is the more user friendly Overdrive App.
CHECK-OUT LIMIT: Borrow up to 4 books/audiobooks at a time. Books will be automatically returned on your due date or can be returned early.
HOLDS: Place holds on books/audiobooks that are checked-out.
RENEWALS: Books/audiobooks can be renewed.
LOAN PERIOD: Books/audiobooks can be borrowed for 7 or 14 days (can set your preferences in the SETTINGS section.
